Trophy Wall

Image
What to do with all the trophies that came with the truck?   I cleaned them up last year and then stored them in the garage.   Well this week Boo figured out what to do with them and where to put them.   Build a spot on the wall for them in the garage.  Think it needs some color  behind it. Thanks to Boo for the great idea. So here is what I have so far. Hopefully next year I can start adding my trophies to the wall. Here's to 2021

June - STEWART WARNER VACUUM FUEL FEED SYSTEM

Image
Finally got to do some work on the pick-up truck - nothing major - just some of the easy stuff that I knew I can handle.  Jeffery helped me with some of the electric things - found out the starter button was not working and we had to take the floor boards off to get to the starter and take that off.  Ordering parts - oil filter, Lucas Classic Motor Oil, gaskets for the fuel vacuum pump, carburetor rebuild kit, fuel filter,  air filter, starter button, battery, spark plugs and wires, ignition coil and distributor cap. Bob Stein from church came over to look at the truck - just in conversation at church - learned he worked on classic cars when he was in college and is currently helping someone with a Model T - pretty cool.  We tried starting it up but had no success and of course that got us both into figuring out why - since it started up the last 2 days.   He asked all the questions about what we have been doing with the car and then the fun began for the day. There is also a 40 degree marking on the flywheel - but I did not take a picture of that (at least I think there is) In trying to fine tune the truck it worked better if we followed the 1928 engine directions instead of the 1927: file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/show_pdf%20(4).pdf SO now the issue becomes what year is the truck actually, but that is for another post/date, as I am still researching that information.  IGNITION TIMING Chevrolet Models 1925 to June, 1927 (all models without semi...
