Camping in the 1,000 Islands in October

Image
We decided to take a few days of vacation and head up to the Thousand Islands for one last Camping Trip.  We left after Church on the 4th and returned home on Columbus Day,   It was a nice ride there and back.  Camping was a little cold.   Took a fishing charter for the 3 of us - 4 hours of fishing, deep and shallow water, trolling and Linda caught the only fish, about a 12 inch perch.   While the fishing guide was setting the poles for trolling Linda and I got to drive the boat. Sunday we went fishing off the dock and caught 4 perch all 12 inches or better - could of saved some money there.

Trophy Wall

What to do with all the trophies that came with the truck?   I cleaned them up last year and then stored them in the garage.   Well this week Boo figured out what to do with them and where to put them.   Build a spot on the wall for them in the garage.  Think it needs some color  behind it. Thanks to Boo for the great idea. So here is what I have so far. Hopefully next year I can start adding my trophies to the wall. Here's to 2021

Miss Maple's New Ride/Toy

Image
Figured it was time for some updates for Miss Maple!  Seems she was a little cramped in the 2016 Nissan Frontier - even though it was a crew cab. Now she has more space in 2019 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. We figured she didn't like camping either cause the camper was too small - so we upgraded to a bigger camper - 2020 Keystone Outback Ultra Lite.

August 2020 - Doors Installed

Image
Took some time to work on the 1927.  Put the doors back on the truck.  Took about 3 hours per door.    Overall, they look pretty good and they close now - no more need for a eye hook closure on the passenger door. Once we were all done, Phil mentioned that over the winter he would like to redo the doors - try to get them to line up a little better - which means cutting up some of the metal and making the door slots a little higher.    .
