That's the ticket

So it appears that the old truck starts better with a fully charged battery and some clean and shiny connections (electrical).   I was told that it shouldn't matter if the connections are shiny and clean - just as long as they are connected - it should start the same.  I honestly don't know how it all works, but at least I think it will start consistently.   As for the Argyle 4th of July parade this year - the Chamber is not hosting it - I am sure it will be a good showing - but we will wait for the Chamber to host it - hopefully next year.  In the meantime, if you know of one locally - send me a notice. I will be joining the Adirondasck Car Enthusiast Club on the 1st Tuesday of July -  ADIRONDACK CAR ENTHUSIASTS - Home (weebly.com)  - and I have already blocked off my calendar for the Car Show they are hosting at Crandall Park in August. Phil and Lisa mentioned the Granville Car Show in September - So it looks like that will be another good one - just might have to find a che

Memorial Day Camping Trip / Parade / Why won't she start consistently?

Well it is the busy time of the year for us - Miss Maple really doesn't care for Camping and my Boo doesn't really care for riding in the 1927. I honestly Don't know how people keep up with working full time, at a real job, blogging and updating FaceBook - I can't juggle all those yet. So in just the timeframe of 28 May - 10 June I have so much to update, not sure what to blog or post on FaceBook, but here goes. 28 May  - Drove the 1927 to get inspected - 7 miles one way - started right up and drove well - shut it off when I got to the shop, but when the mechanic said to pull it around the shop and into the bay - Just didn't start - had to charge it.  Overall - after the gas leak was fixed - it PASSED inspection. Drove well on the way home. 28 - 31 May  4th Annual Durkeetown Baptist Church Camping Trip 28 May - Rain and Cold 29 May - Rain and Cold 30 May - Rain and Cold 31 May - Sunny and Warm Enough Said about that - I will let the pictures speak for the weekend.

Let the Camping Begin

Oil Filter

I bought a new oil filter for the truck 2 years ago, but with it not running consistently I haven't changed it out.  Now that the throw out bearing was replaced I thought I would get it ready for the Car Shows and Parades. So after some research to see if the filter needing changing - which it did, I figured it should be easy as there was only 1 screw to loosen then one connection on each end.   Old Filter - at the bottom of this end is the test cock - No Oil coming out at all. New Filter   This fitting gave me some trouble but eventually I got it to stop leaking.
